KOA: Taking Digital Signage to the Great Outdoors

Since 1962, KOA has helped campers across the country create unforgettable memories. With 500+ campgrounds across North America, KOA offers a variety of ways for families and individuals to enjoy camping in the great outdoors. From RV sites to tent sites to cabins, there is a KOA campground offering for everyone to experience. 

truDigital is proud to be the official digital signage provider for KOA. KOA primarily utilizes truDigital for communication with its campers. Campground owners place screens at front desks and other common areas to display information about upcoming events, promotions, and campsites. 

Initially, KOA hired an external company to develop its own internal digital signage solution. But over time, the campgrounds were desiring more features that they could not simply offer. As KOA searched for a new digital signage platform, they discovered truDigital. They found that not only did truDigital offer the additional features they were looking for at a reasonable price, but that the platform also allowed them to incorporate its own KOA templates for consistent branding across various campgrounds. 

Since becoming a customer in 2019, KOA has appreciated the high level of customer service they have received from truDigital, allowing end users to get help quickly as needed. They have also enjoyed the ability to update playlists remotely, empowering the marketing team to quickly update and schedule playlists and other content from anywhere.
